Tap the + button in the Closet tab to add a garment. Give it a name, pick a category, and optionally add a purchase price and photo. Then tap +1 Wear each time you wear it and +1 Wash each time you wash it.
Wearcount Support
Help and contact information for Wearcount 1.1.
Open any priced garment's detail screen and tap the + button in the Wear Goal card. Enter a target cost-per-wear in dollars (e.g. 1.00 for $1/wear). The app shows a progress bar and counts down the remaining wears needed to reach your target.
Go to Settings and tap "Export closet as CSV." The iOS share sheet opens so you can save the file to Files, send it to Numbers or Excel, or share it however you like. The file includes name, category, wear count, wash count, price, cost per wear, and dates.
Go to Settings and tap "Care guide." The Symbols tab decodes washing, drying, ironing, bleaching, and professional care symbols. The Fabrics tab gives washing guidance for Cotton, Wool, Silk, Linen, Polyester, Denim, Cashmere, and Viscose. Everything works offline.
Each clothing category has a default number of wears before a "Needs wash" badge appears (Tee = 3, Jeans = 7, Outerwear = 20, etc.). You can adjust these in Settings using the stepper next to each category, or set a category to 0 to turn off the badge entirely.
Email RobertCorbin84@gmail.com with your device model, iOS version, and a short description of what happened. Include the app version (visible in Settings under About).
Common Questions
Does Wearcount require an account or internet connection?
No. Everything runs on your device. No account, no internet, no cloud.
Where is my data stored?
In the app's local Documents directory on your iPhone or iPad. It is included in your iCloud or iTunes backups automatically if you have those enabled.
How does the "Needs wash" badge work?
The badge appears when the number of wears since your last logged wash reaches the threshold for that category. After you log a wash, the counter resets.
Can I undo a wear or wash I logged by mistake?
Yes. Open the item's detail screen and tap "Undo wear" or "Undo wash" at the bottom of the Recent history card. This removes the most recent event.
What changed in version 1.1?
Three new features: Wear Goals (set a cost-per-wear target and track progress), CSV Export (share your closet data as a spreadsheet), and a bundled Care Guide (offline symbol decoder and per-fabric washing reference).
Is the CSV export safe to open in Numbers or Excel?
Yes. The file is RFC 4180-compliant CSV with UTF-8 encoding and quoted fields, which both apps handle correctly. Currency values use your device locale's formatting.
