Wearcount Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 13, 2026. This policy explains how Wearcount handles your data.
Data Storage
Wearcount stores all data — garment names, wear and wash histories, purchase prices, photos, wear goals, and settings — exclusively on your device using the app's local storage (Documents directory and UserDefaults). No data is transmitted to any server.
Photos
Wearcount uses Apple's PhotosPicker to let you attach a photo to a garment. This mechanism gives the app access only to the specific image you select; Wearcount never requests access to your full Photo Library. Selected photos are resized and stored locally inside the app's own storage.
Tracking and Third Parties
Wearcount does not track users across apps or websites. It contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and makes no network requests.
Export
Version 1.1 adds a CSV export feature. When you tap "Export closet as CSV," a file is created on your device and shared via the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes — the app does not send it anywhere automatically.
Care Guide
The Care Guide is a static reference bundled inside the app. It does not download content and does not transmit any data.
Permissions
Wearcount requests no system permissions on launch. PhotosPicker access is granted only when you explicitly choose a photo inside the app.
Children
Wearcount does not knowingly collect data from any user, including children. Since no data leaves the device, no age-based data handling is required.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
