Twinfinder Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 27, 2026. This policy explains how Twinfinder handles data.
Data Handling
Twinfinder scans files only in folders selected by the user through macOS. Scan results, cleanup plans, saved scan configurations, cleanup history, and exports remain on the user's Mac unless the user chooses to share or back them up through macOS or another service outside Twinfinder.
No Uploads or Accounts
Twinfinder does not create user accounts, does not upload files, does not transmit scan results, and does not provide cloud sync.
Tracking and Third Parties
Twinfinder does not use advertising SDKs, does not sell personal data, and does not track users across apps or websites.
Permissions
The app uses user-selected file access so it can scan folders chosen by the user. The app does not request broad disk access for normal operation.
Local Storage
Saved scan configurations and local preferences may be stored in macOS UserDefaults. Cleanup history exists locally so users can see recent actions and undo Trash moves where macOS permits restoration.
Contact
Questions can be sent through the App Store product page.
