Snipnest Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 27, 2026. This policy explains how Snipnest handles data.
Data Handling
Snipnest stores imported screenshots, OCR text, tags, notes, Smart Collections, duplicate results, sensitivity findings, and Action Review summaries locally on the Mac. The app does not sell data or use tracking. User-selected file access is used only for chosen imports, watched folders, or exports.
Information You Choose
The app may store content you create, import, select, or export. That information remains under your control on your Mac unless you use macOS sharing, export, backup, or cloud-sync features outside the app.
Tracking and Third Parties
Snipnest does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not sell personal data, and does not track you across apps or websites.
Permissions
The app requests macOS file access only when you choose a folder or export a file. Snipnest does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, Accessibility, or input monitoring permissions.
On-Device Processing
OCR, Smart Highlights, duplicate detection, sensitivity scanning, and Action Review are performed on-device. Snipnest does not send screenshot contents to a server.
