Shadowfetch Support

Open Shadowfetch and tap the + button in the top-right corner. Choose a countdown mode (Count Down for future dates, Count Up for past ones), pick a category, enter a title, and select a date. Tap Save — the event appears on the home screen sorted by its next occurrence (countdowns first, count-up events below). Pinned countdowns always appear at the very top of the list.

To pin an event, open it and tap the pin icon (⊕) in the top-right corner of the detail screen. You can also pin or unpin from the ⋯ overflow menu on any event card, or from the long-press context menu. Pinned events appear in a "Pinned" section above all other countdown events on the home screen. They also take priority in the home-screen and lock-screen widget. A small pin icon on the card confirms the event is currently pinned. Tap the pin icon again (or use the menu) to unpin at any time.

Open any countdown-mode event to see the "Countdown Progress" bar in the detail view. It shows what percentage of the total wait — from the day you created the event to its target date — has already passed. A bar at 25% means one quarter of the countdown is behind you; 75% means you're in the home stretch. The bar updates continuously. It is not shown for count-up events (which have no defined end date).

Set any event to "Count Up" to track elapsed time since a past date — sobriety streaks, how long you've been married, days since a product launch, or anything else you want to measure from. The live count-up runs continuously. Count-up events appear in a dedicated "Counting Up" section on the What's Coming agenda and can be shared as a card just like countdown events.

When creating or editing an event, tap the Category row to choose from Birthday, Anniversary, Travel, Health, Deadline, Celebration, Milestone, Sports, Holiday, or Other. Category emoji badges appear on event cards. When you have events with different categories, a filter bar appears at the top of the home screen so you can show just one category at a time.

Tap the gear icon in the top-left corner of the home screen, then tap "Export Events as CSV." Shadowfetch creates a CSV file containing all your events (title, notes, mode, category, anchor date, recurrence, and reminder settings) and presents the iOS share sheet. Open it in Numbers, Excel, or any spreadsheet app. The file is created on your device and is never uploaded anywhere automatically.

Tap the gear icon, then tap "Share Event Health Report." Shadowfetch creates a readable local summary of active events, reminders, pinned countdowns, recurring dates, categories, photo-backed events, records that may need review, and the next five upcoming countdowns. Use it before travel, launches, ceremonies, or project deadlines to quickly check whether the important dates are organized.

Tap "What's Coming" in the tab switcher at the top of the home screen to see all upcoming events. Countdown events within the next 30 days show a progress ring. Events beyond 30 days appear in "Further Out." Count-up events appear in a separate "Counting Up" section at the bottom.

Open any event by tapping it, then scroll down and tap "Share Countdown Card" (or "Share Elapsed Time Card" for count-up events). Shadowfetch generates a 1080×1080 image with your event's name, accent color, days remaining or elapsed time, and anchor date, then presents the iOS share sheet.

Long-press your iPhone's home screen or lock screen and tap + to add a Shadowfetch widget. The lock screen offers rectangular and circular widgets. The home screen offers small and medium widgets. All widgets normally show your nearest upcoming countdown event. If you have a pinned countdown event with a future occurrence, the widget shows that event instead — giving you control over what appears on your home screen.

When creating or editing an event, tap the "Card Color" row in the Personalization section to open the iOS color wheel. You can also type a six-character hex code directly into the Hex Color field. The preview swatch updates as you type. The color tints the event card and the share image.

"Absolute" mode pins the event to the city you choose — useful for a flight departure that should stay at 14:30 New York time no matter where you travel. "Wall Time" mode follows your current device time zone — useful for a recurring team call that always fires at 9:00 AM wherever you are.

Go to Settings → Notifications → Shadowfetch and confirm that notifications are allowed. Reminders are scheduled as local notifications. Note: count-up events do not have reminders (they run continuously). If you recently reinstalled the app, open Shadowfetch once so it can reschedule your countdown reminders.
