Shadowfetch

Dependable countdowns for the dates that matter — and elapsed-time tracking for the ones that already happened. Birthdays, anniversaries, streaks, trips, and deadlines. Pin the one event you care about most to the top. Accurate to the millisecond, no account required.

What Shadowfetch Does

Shadowfetch keeps important future dates front and center — and tracks how long it has been since important past dates too. Add a birthday, anniversary, trip, or deadline and it shows a live countdown; add a sobriety date, a wedding anniversary, or a launch milestone and it shows how long you've been going. Pin the countdown you care about most so it always leads the list and the widget. The home-screen widget keeps the nearest (or pinned) event visible without opening the app.

Who It's For

  • Anyone tracking an upcoming birthday, anniversary, or trip
  • People who want to pin one specific countdown to always appear first
  • Users who want to see how far through the wait they are — not just days remaining
  • Students and professionals managing a hard deadline
  • Anyone who wants recurring dates sorted automatically
  • Users who want time-zone-aware countdowns without cloud sync or an account

Privacy by Design

Shadowfetch never transmits your data. All events are stored in local SwiftData storage on your device. Photos you attach are stored in your device's Application Support folder. The app uses UserDefaults (via App Group) only to pass the next event's name and date to the home-screen widget — no third-party service is involved. The CSV export is created on-device and shared only if you choose to share it.

What's New in 1.6

  • Event Health Report for pre-trip, deadline, and milestone review
  • Updated export language covering CSV and report sharing
  • New unit tests covering report score, category counts, and rendered output
