What Shadowfetch Does

Shadowfetch keeps important future dates front and center — and tracks how long it has been since important past dates too. Add a birthday, anniversary, trip, or deadline and it shows a live countdown; add a sobriety date, a wedding anniversary, or a launch milestone and it shows how long you've been going. Pin the countdown you care about most so it always leads the list and the widget. The home-screen widget keeps the nearest (or pinned) event visible without opening the app.

Event Health Report. Share a local readiness summary covering upcoming events, reminders, pinned countdowns, recurrence, categories, photo-backed events, and records that may need review.
Submission Refresh. Support, privacy, metadata, and screenshots now reflect the current in-app interface and the latest local export tools.

Full Feature Set — Version 1.6

Pin to Top. Mark any countdown event as pinned. It leads the home screen and takes priority in the widget. One tap to pin or unpin — via the detail screen, the ⋯ menu on the card, or a long-press context menu.
Countdown Progress Bar. A visual 0–100% progress indicator in the detail view shows how far from creation to target you've traveled. Updates live as time passes.
Live in-app countdown. Your next event updates in real time — days, hours, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds — using iOS TimelineView so the display is always accurate.
Count-Up Mode. Track elapsed time since any past date. "Married for 3y 42d 14h 22m 11s." "Sober for 847 days." Runs live, shares as a card, shows in the agenda.
Event Categories. Ten categories with emojis for filtering and quick identification on cards.
CSV Export. One tap exports all events to a spreadsheet-ready file via the gear icon.
Event Health Report. Generate a readable summary of reminders, pinned events, recurrence, categories, stale records, photo-backed events, and your next five countdowns.
Home screen and lock screen widgets. Small, medium, rectangular, and circular widget sizes. All show your nearest (or pinned) countdown event automatically.
What's Coming agenda view. A dedicated timeline tab shows countdown events chronologically with progress rings, and count-up events in their own "Counting Up" section.
Share countdown and elapsed-time cards. Generate a polished 1080×1080 image — accent color, bold number, event name, and date — ready to share anywhere.
Recurring events. Set any countdown event to repeat monthly or yearly. Shadowfetch automatically advances to the next occurrence.
Reminders. Schedule a local notification 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month before any countdown event.
Milestone notifications. Get notified at milestone moments — "100 days to go," "1,000 days," and more.
Color picker. Choose an accent color from the iOS color wheel or type a hex code. Both stay in sync.
Background photos. Attach a photo from your library to personalize any event card.
Time zone control. Pin to a specific city's time zone or set wall time for recurring meetings.
All-day events. Toggle all-day mode for date-only milestones.
Fully offline. No account, no subscription, no network calls, no ads, no analytics or tracking of any kind.

Privacy by Design

Shadowfetch never transmits your data. All events are stored in local SwiftData storage on your device. Photos you attach are stored in your device's Application Support folder. The app uses UserDefaults (via App Group) only to pass the next event's name and date to the home-screen widget — no third-party service is involved. The CSV export is created on-device and shared only if you choose to share it.
