Tap the Inks tab to add your first bottle with a swatch color and property tags. Then add a pen and a paper. Once you have all three, tap Combos and log your first pen + ink + paper combo with five-dimension ratings.
InkAtlas Support
Help for InkAtlas — the offline fountain pen ink, combo, and blend tracker.
Tap the Mix Lab tab (flask icon) and tap + to record a new blend. Choose 2–4 inks from your library, set the parts for each using the sliders, and give the blend a name. InkAtlas computes a weighted color preview automatically. Add notes on how it actually performed on paper, then save.
The preview color is a weighted RGB average of the source inks — a useful approximation. Real dye mixing can shift the hue slightly depending on the inks used. Only use dye-based fountain pen inks; avoid mixing iron gall or pigmented inks with standard dye inks as they can react and clog your pen's feed.
Tap the Palette tab (paint palette icon) to see your inks placed by hue angle. Dots farther from the center are more saturated. Tap a dot to inspect the ink. The color-family grid below shows which hue families you have covered. Inks within 12° of another (at similar brightness) get a gold badge — these are near-duplicates you may not need both of.
Tap the Rotation tab (pen-tip circle icon) and tap + to log a pen you have just loaded. Set a cleaning interval — 7–14 days for shimmer inks, 4–8 weeks for everyday dye inks. InkAtlas alerts you when the interval passes. Tap "Mark flushed" when you clean the pen.
Tap the Samples tab (test tube icon) to add ink vials from swaps, sample packs, or stores. Set a status — Untested, Testing, Loved, Want to Buy, For Trade, or Passed — and add tasting notes. Use this to decide which full bottles to buy next.
Tap the Wishlist tab (star icon) to save pens, inks, or paper you want to acquire. Assign a priority and optional price estimate. Swipe left on any item and tap "Purchased!" to mark it acquired.
Go to Settings and tap "Export atlas as CSV." The iOS share sheet opens with a single file containing all your inks, pens, paper, combos, samples, wishlist, and blend recipes. Open in Numbers, Excel, or save to Files.
InkAtlas requests camera or photo library access only when you tap to attach a photo to a pen, ink, paper, or combo entry. If you denied access previously, go to Settings → InkAtlas to re-enable it.
Go to Settings → Data → Clear all data. This immediately erases every pen, ink, paper, combo, notebook, sample, wishlist item, and blend. There is no undo, so export a CSV backup first if needed.
