Fast PDF Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 15, 2026. This policy explains how Fast PDF handles your data.
On-device processing only
Fast PDF is designed as a fully offline utility. Every operation — camera capture, edge detection, perspective correction, image processing, OCR text recognition, PDF rendering, and PDF merging — runs entirely on your device inside the app's sandbox. The app holds no network entitlements and makes no network calls.
Data we do not collect
Fast PDF does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. This includes document content, OCR output, filenames, tags, capture history, settings, or device identifiers. There are no analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or advertising SDKs in the app.
Data stored on your device
PDF files are written directly to the Files folder you select. App preferences (quality preset, color mode, OCR toggle, theme, filename prefix, filename template, haptics) are stored in UserDefaults on your device. Document tags are stored in a sidecar file named FastPDF-tags.json inside your chosen Fast PDF folder — not in PDF metadata and not on any server. The Privacy Nutrition Label on the App Store and the app's PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest both declare UserDefaults as the sole accessed API.
Camera and Files access
Fast PDF asks for camera access only when you start a capture session. It accesses Files locations only via the user-selected security-scoped bookmark you grant when setting up a save destination. Neither permission is used for any purpose other than the feature that requires it.
PDF Merge
The PDF Merge feature reads source PDF files from your Fast PDF folder, combines their pages in memory using Apple's PDFKit framework, and writes the result back to the same folder. No PDF content is transmitted outside the device at any stage of this process.
Pro Pack and Scan QA Lab
The Pro Pack research data, Scan QA Lab metrics, checklists, scenario playbook, and reference cards are bundled inside the app binary. They do not collect user data and do not connect to any external service.
Third parties
Fast PDF does not use any third-party SDKs, frameworks, or services. It does not track users across apps or websites.
Children
Fast PDF does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
