Drive Case Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 17, 2026. This policy explains how Drive Case handles data.
Data Handling
Drive Case is an on-device app. Vehicle profiles, service and fuel records, tire sets and tread readings, trip logs, reminders, and attached documents are stored locally on your device unless you export, share, back up, or sync them through system features.
No Collection or Tracking
Drive Case does not collect personal data, does not use analytics SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites, shows no ads, and contains no in-app purchases. There is no account and no backend service. The Trip Log is entered manually and does not use location services or GPS.
Bundled Reference Data
Drive Case includes offline reference data derived from the public-domain U.S. EPA FuelEconomy.gov and NHTSA recall datasets, and tread-depth safety thresholds sourced from published NHTSA and AAA guidance. This data is read-only, ships inside the app, and does not collect or transmit any information. Recall information is configuration-level (year, make, model) and is not a per-VIN repair-status guarantee — verify your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Export and Sharing
PDF and CSV exports are generated on device. Files leave your device only when you choose where to share or save them using the standard iOS share sheet.
Permissions
The app asks for system permissions only when you start a feature that needs them: photo access to attach vehicle photos, receipts, or document images; Face ID or Touch ID only if you enable the optional app lock; and notifications only after you turn on reminders in Settings. The app does not request location, camera, microphone, or contacts access. Permission choices can be changed in the iOS Settings app.
