Drive Case

A private, offline vehicle records keeper. Track maintenance, fuel economy, tires, trips, costs, renewal dates, and documents for every vehicle in your garage — no account, no ads, no tracking.

Annual Cost Breakdown

A Stats tab on each vehicle shows fuel and service spend broken down by calendar year, with a stacked bar chart, a per-year cost-per-mile figure, and a lifetime running-cost summary. For multi-year owners it answers the question "are my costs going up?" at a glance — all calculated on device from your existing records.

Service History Check

The vehicle overview now flags service types that are overdue or nearly due based on your actual logged history — not just reminders you set manually. If your last oil change was 7,500 miles ago or your brake inspection is overdue, Drive Case highlights it with a colour-coded progress bar and a plain-language status. The full breakdown is in the Stats tab.

Business Mileage Log Export

Export a business mileage log CSV whenever you have business or commute trips on file. One row per trip (date, vehicle, name, start and end mileage, miles, purpose, notes), a subtotal for each calendar year, and a grand total — ready to hand to an accountant or attach to an expense report for IRS mileage deduction or employer reimbursement.

Tire Tracker

Log your tire sets (brand, model, size, installed mileage) and measure tread depth at all four positions in 32nds of an inch — the standard gauge unit. Drive Case shows a colour-coded wear grid, flags the 4/32" wet-traction caution and the 2/32" NHTSA legal minimum, and projects miles-to-replace from your measured wear rate. Previous sets are kept for reference.

Trip Log

Record named trips with start and end mileage, date, purpose (Personal, Business, Commute, Road Trip, Errand), and optional notes. Total and business miles are tracked separately — useful for reimbursement and tax records. Adding a trip automatically advances the vehicle's current mileage.

Fuel Insights

Best and worst single-tank MPG with dates, average price per gallon, average monthly fuel spend, and an octane usage breakdown. Combined with the monthly spend chart, it gives a clear picture of fuel efficiency and cost over time. Accurate full-tank MPG that excludes partial fills from the distance math.

Document Vault

Attach PDFs and photos of insurance cards, registration, titles, warranties, and receipts to each vehicle. Files are stored on device and viewable in-app with Quick Look. Service and fuel entries can carry a receipt photo too.

Export and Backup

  • Formatted PDF service and fuel report
  • Spreadsheet-ready CSV of every record
  • Business mileage log CSV with yearly totals
  • Per-vehicle or whole-garage scope
  • Generated on device, shared only where you choose

Offline Reference

A bundled standard maintenance schedule with 25 intervals and plain-English explanations, 10 short maintenance guides, and a configuration-level recall reference. The recall card clearly notes that you should verify your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Reminders and Alerts

Mileage and date based reminders, plus alerts for insurance, registration, and inspection expiry. Mileage-only reminders project a due date from your average miles per day, and you can choose how many days of lead time you want.

Private by Design

Drive Case is local-first. It does not require an account, does not show ads, does not track you, includes no in-app purchases, and stores your vehicle records on the device. Reference data comes from the public-domain EPA FuelEconomy.gov and NHTSA datasets and is bundled for fully offline use. Tread-depth thresholds are sourced from NHTSA and AAA published guidance.
