Talkbeat Privacy Policy
Talkbeat is designed to stay entirely on your device. The developer does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal data of any kind.
Data Collection
Talkbeat does not require an account and does not send any data to a developer server. The developer does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, contact information, diagnostics, or any other personal data from the app.
What the App Stores Locally
Talkbeat stores two kinds of data on your device only:
- Timer presets — the names and settings (total length, cue interval, finale style) you save in the Timer tab. Stored as a JSON file in the app's Documents directory.
- Session history — the start time, duration, cue count, and completion status of your past talks (up to 50 sessions). Stored as a JSON file in the app's Documents directory.
- Preferences — haptics on/off, keep-screen-awake on/off, and whether you have seen the welcome screen. Stored in UserDefaults.
No audio is ever recorded. No transcript is ever stored. Talkbeat does not request microphone access.
CSV Export
The Export as CSV feature in the History tab writes a temporary file containing your session history numbers (dates, durations, cue counts, outcomes) to your device's temporary directory and opens the iOS system share sheet. The app does not receive a copy of where you send the file. Talkbeat never transmits this data itself.
Haptics
Talkbeat uses Core Haptics and UIKit haptic feedback APIs for cue pulses and the finale. These APIs operate entirely on-device and generate no data.
Tracking and Advertising
Talkbeat does not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. The app never connects to the internet during normal use.
Children
Talkbeat is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
