How AI is used here.

Shadowfetch is a one-person software studio. AI tooling is part of how the work gets done. This page states that plainly: what the tools help with, where they are not trusted, and what this site is not.

In the studio

AI assistants are used for drafting, refactoring, research summaries, and routine engineering chores while building apps and Shadowfetch Linux. A human remains accountable for what ships: App Store releases, ISO builds, and the copy on this site.

In the apps

Unless an individual app’s product page says otherwise, Shadowfetch apps are local utilities. They do not require an account, do not run ads, and do not send your work to a studio-operated model service by default. If an app offers an optional AI feature, that choice and its data path are described in that app.

On Shadowfetch Linux

The desktop can install local language models and a private chat interface for work that stays on your machine. Shadowfetch does not operate a hosted model service for the distro. See Local AI for the supported setup and measured hardware guidance.

What this is not

Not a claim that generated output is correct without review.
Not a replacement for testing software on the devices and hardware it supports.
Not a substitute for reading an app’s App Store privacy label or a package’s license text.
