Silent Presenter Timer for iOS

Talkbeat

Haptic cues at every interval and an escalating finale at the end — silent pacing for talks, pitches, standups, and rehearsals. No sound, no slides, no screen you have to watch. Just a tap on your wrist.

Silent Cue Pulses

Set a total length and cue interval. Talkbeat taps your wrist at every cue — nobody else hears a thing. Works on mute, vibrate, and do-not-disturb.

Escalating Finale

Three rising taps and a strong rumble when time's up. Choose Escalating, Single Strong, or Gentle depending on how dramatic you want the finish.

Words → Time

Type your word count. Talkbeat shows the speaking duration at your chosen pace. Flip on the live-delivery toggle to add a 15% speedup — most presenters run faster on stage than in rehearsal.

Time → Words

Working to a time slot? Enter the target duration and Talkbeat tells you exactly how many words you need to write to fill it. Save the result directly as a timer preset.

Three pace bands

Deliberate (~110 wpm) for data-heavy content. Conversational (~130 wpm) for most presentations. Energized (~150 wpm) for punchy, high-stakes formats. Based on widely-cited public-speaking research.

Pace bands sourced from SlideModel.com, Teleprompter.com, and Winning Presentations (2025).

How it works

1. Choose or build a preset

Pick a format from the Formats tab, use the Stage Coach, or dial in your own length and cue interval. Save it as a preset for one-tap reuse.

2. Start your talk

Hit Start. The giant countdown fills the screen. Talkbeat fires a haptic pulse at every cue interval so you always know where you are — without looking.

3. Wrap with the finale

At the end, the finale haptic plays: three rising taps and a strong rumble. Your run is saved automatically in History.

Private by design

No account required

Download and use immediately. No sign-in, no email, no setup. All your presets and history live only in this app on this device.

No internet, ever

Talkbeat makes zero network calls. There is no developer server. Nothing about you or your talks leaves this device.

No sound

Every cue is haptic-only. Mute switch, vibrate mode, do-not-disturb — all fine. Talkbeat never plays audio.
