Speakloft Privacy Policy
Speakloft is designed to stay entirely on your device. The developer does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal data of any kind.
Data Collection
Speakloft does not require an account and does not send personal data to a developer server. The developer does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, microphone audio, speech transcripts, session results, contact information, or diagnostics from the app.
Microphone and Speech Recognition
Speakloft requests microphone and speech recognition access only when you start a practice session. Audio is analyzed live, on your device, to compute pace and detect pauses. The audio stream is never written to disk and is discarded the moment the session ends. The speech recognizer is configured with requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true — no audio is sent to Apple's servers.
Local Storage
Only the numeric results from sessions you choose to save — duration, average WPM, score, pause count, filler count, and a downsampled pace timeline — are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. No audio, no transcript, and no personally identifiable information is stored.
CSV Export
The Export as CSV feature writes a temporary file containing your session history numbers to your device's temporary directory and opens the iOS system share sheet. The app does not receive a copy of where you send the file. Speakloft never transmits this data itself.
Tracking and Advertising
Speakloft does not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. The app never connects to the internet during normal use.
Children
Speakloft is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
