Rowloom Support

Help, troubleshooting, and contact information for Rowloom.

Getting Started

On the Projects tab, tap the plus button to add a project, set your stitches per row and target, then open it and tap the big plus button to count. It rolls into the next row automatically.

Multiple Counters

Inside a project, add more counters for sleeves, repeats, or increases. Each counter has its own row count, target, focus timer, and row reminders.

Pattern Repeat Tracker

Open a counter's menu (the three-dot button) and tap "Pattern repeat". Set the number of rows in one repeat — Rowloom then shows which repeat row you're on below the counter. Add optional per-row notes for instructions like "RS: knit" or "chart row B".

Hands-Free Counting

Turn on hands-free volume-button counting in Settings to advance the active counter without touching the screen. The app restores your system volume immediately and never uses the microphone or network.

Common Questions

Does the app require an account or the internet?
No. Rowloom is fully offline. It has no account, no ads, no tracking, and never connects to the internet.

Where is my data stored?
Projects and settings are stored locally on your device. You can export a backup file from Settings and import it again later.

What does the pattern repeat tracker do?
It divides your absolute row count into the cycle of your stitch pattern. If you have an 8-row lace repeat, Rowloom shows "Repeat row 3 of 8" below the counter so you always know which row of the chart you should be working. You can also add a short note for each row of the cycle (for example "RS: follow chart A", "WS: purl all") and the note appears automatically when you reach that row.

Can I add repeat tracking to an existing project?
Yes. Open the project, tap the three-dot menu at the top right, choose "Pattern repeat", set your repeat length, and save. The cycle is calculated from row 1, so it works correctly regardless of which row you're currently on.

How do I copy a result from the gauge calculator into my project?
In the gauge calculator, tap the copy icon next to "Cast on" or "Work about" to copy that number to the clipboard. Then open or create a project, go to Edit project, and paste it into the Target rows or Stitches per row field.

Where does the reference data come from?
The needle and hook sizes, yarn weights, and abbreviations follow public Craft Yarn Council standards and conversion charts. No copyrighted patterns are included.

What happens at my row reminders?
When the active counter reaches a row you set a reminder for, a banner appears in the app with your note and a distinct haptic. Reminders surface in-app and need no notification permission.

How do I remove the app?
Touch and hold the app icon, choose Remove App, then Delete App. Export a backup first if you want to keep your projects.
