Rowloom

An offline row and stitch counter for knitting and crochet, with pattern repeat tracking, multiple counters per project, and a bundled reference toolbox.

Why It Helps

Rowloom keeps your place with one chunky, glove-friendly button. Each tap adds a stitch and rolls into the next row automatically, with crisp haptics so you can count without looking. Optional hands-free counting lets you advance with a volume button while your hands stay on the yarn.

Core Tools

  • Pattern repeat tracker: see "Repeat row 3 of 8" below the counter while you knit — no mental division, no scrap paper
  • Per-repeat-row notes: set a short instruction for each row of the cycle ("RS: knit", "WS: purl") that surfaces automatically
  • Multiple named counters per project (sleeves, repeats, increases)
  • Per-counter focus timer and a Finished projects log
  • Row reminders that surface when you reach a chosen row
  • Hands-free counting with the volume buttons
  • Export and import your projects as a backup file

Pattern Repeat Tracker (New in 1.2)

Knitters working lace, cables, colorwork, or ribbing need to know which row of the repeat they are on, not just the absolute row number. Set a repeat length on any counter (for example 8 for an 8-row lace chart) and Rowloom shows "Repeat row 3 of 8" below the big counter readout while you work. You can also add a short instruction for each row of the cycle — "RS: follow chart", "WS: purl all" — and the relevant note appears automatically each time you reach that row in the cycle.

Repeat data is stored locally with your project. Old backups are forward-compatible.

Offline Reference Toolbox

Everything is bundled on device, so the tools work with no internet connection.

Reference content follows public Craft Yarn Council standards and conversion charts. No copyrighted patterns are included.

One Purchase, Fully Offline

Rowloom is a one-time 0.99 USD purchase with no subscription. It has no account, no ads, no tracking, and never connects to the internet. Your projects stay on your device, and you can export a backup whenever you like.
