Open Rain WindowTap the prominent Rain Window row beneath the Radar and Satellite selector. It starts with the visible map center and does not require location permission.
Not enough dataThis is an intentional result when a provider has no usable signal for the selected place and time. It is not replaced with a guess.
No provider forecast radarRainViewer sometimes supplies observations without future frames. Radar Glance shows the actual frame count and can still add official hourly context for supported US points.
Official forecast unavailableNWS point forecasts cover supported United States locations. Outside that coverage, radar stays usable and the missing official context is labeled.
Cached contextIf the latest NWS request fails, a response less than three hours old may be shown with a visible Cached label and source time.
Radar or map not loadingCheck the network connection and retry. Radar tiles, satellite imagery, maps, and new official context require access to their providers.
LocationLocation is optional. Use search or the map center without it, or enable While Using in iOS Settings after choosing a location action.
SafetyUse official watches, warnings, emergency alerts, national weather services, and local authorities for safety decisions.
