Radar Glance Privacy Policy
Radar Glance has no account, advertising, tracking, analytics SDK, or developer data server.
Developer collection
The developer does not collect, sell, rent, or use personal data from Radar Glance. The app does not send saved places, plans, searches, screenshots, settings, diagnostics, or identifiers to a developer-operated server.
Location permission
Location permission is optional and is requested only after you choose a location-based action. If allowed, the device location can center the map or become the point used for a Rain Window check. You can instead search or use the visible map center without granting location access.
Weather and map providers
Apple Maps receives map requests needed to display the visible area. RainViewer receives imagery and tile requests for the visible radar or satellite area. When you request official Rain Window context for a supported United States point, the selected coordinate is sent to api.weather.gov to request hourly forecast and active-alert information. Provider requests may also include ordinary network information such as IP address and user agent. Each provider handles those requests under its own policy.
On-device data
Saved places, Rain Window plan settings, map camera state, layer choices, animation settings, radar palettes, and distance-ring preferences are stored locally on the device. A recent official forecast response may be cached locally for up to three hours and is labeled Cached when shown.
Sharing
The share action creates a radar image on the device and presents the Apple share sheet. Nothing is uploaded automatically. You decide whether and where to send it.
Tracking and advertising
Radar Glance does not use advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking, third-party advertising SDKs, or analytics SDKs.
Data removal
Remove saved items inside the app or delete the app to remove its local data. Provider request logs, if any, are controlled by the applicable provider rather than Shadowfetch.
Children
Radar Glance is not directed at children and the developer does not knowingly collect information from children.
