Proselens Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 13, 2026. This policy explains how Proselens handles your data — in short, it doesn't collect any.
On-Device Analysis
All text analysis in Proselens is performed entirely on your device using Apple's NaturalLanguage framework. No text, document content, or analysis result is ever sent to a server, cloud service, or third party. Your words never leave your device.
Local Storage Only
Documents you save in the Library are stored as a JSON file in your device's Application Support directory. Writing Target preferences, highlight settings, editor preferences, and thresholds are stored in UserDefaults on your device. Nothing is synced to a cloud service by Proselens itself (standard iOS backups via iCloud or iTunes are controlled by you in iOS Settings).
No Tracking
Proselens does not track users across apps or websites. It contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK that transmits data off-device. The app's PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest accurately reflects this: the only accessed API is UserDefaults.
No Account or Sign-In
Proselens does not require or offer any account, login, or registration. No personal information is collected at any point.
Network
Proselens contains no networking code. It makes no outbound connections of any kind. The app works fully offline on any iOS or iPadOS device.
Permissions
Proselens requests no system permissions. It does not access the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or any other protected resource.
Children
Proselens does not collect data from anyone, including children. No information is gathered, stored remotely, or shared.
