Parquetglass · App overview
Inspect a Parquet footer without decoding data pages.
Open a Parquet file to inspect its schema, row groups, column statistics and footer bytes on the device.
What you can do
- Verify PAR1 magic and footer bounds, then decode the Thrift compact FileMetaData.
- Browse the schema tree, row groups, codecs, encodings, sizes, offsets and available column statistics.
- Attach file or column notes, reopen recent files through security-scoped bookmarks, and export Markdown or JSON reports.
Scope and limitations
Parquetglass reads footer metadata only. It does not decompress or decode data pages, display actual rows, or decode encrypted PARE footers. A footer statistic is not a row-level validation result.
Your records, your choices
File and column notes, flags, footer fingerprints and recent-file bookmarks are saved locally. A bookmark allows the app to reopen a file you previously chose; the app does not upload the file to a developer server.
