HomeSpare Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 15, 2026. This policy explains how HomeSpare handles your data.
Data Handling
HomeSpare is designed as an on-device utility. Your spares, stock counts, reorder levels, replacement schedules, notes, and all other user data are stored in the app's local storage on your device. Data does not leave your device unless you explicitly export or share it using the store run list, plain-text summary, or CSV export through the iOS share sheet.
Bundled Reference Data
HomeSpare includes an offline reference library covering common HVAC and water filter sizes, MERV guidance, light-bulb bases and shapes, and household battery sizes and equivalents. This data is compiled from public, non-proprietary engineering references (US EPA MERV guidance, widely published HVAC filter dimensions, the standard light-bulb base chart, and common battery equivalent charts). It is bundled inside the app at build time, does not collect or transmit any user data, and is not updated over the network. It is a convenience reference; always confirm the size or part printed on your own equipment before purchase.
No Network Calls
HomeSpare makes no network requests. There is no developer backend, no telemetry endpoint, and no cloud sync. The app functions entirely offline.
Tracking and Third Parties
HomeSpare does not track users across apps or websites. It does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or crash-reporting services of any kind.
Permissions Summary
HomeSpare does not request access to the camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, or notifications. It uses only local app storage to save your records.
