Log the seven-field checklist, track colony strength, log honey harvests, track mite treatment windows with efficacy checks, look up diseases offline, follow the seasonal calendar, and export inspector-ready PDFs or CSV spreadsheets — all without an account, subscription, or internet connection.
Log each extraction with date, weight (pounds or kilograms), number of supers extracted, and notes. Hivecard shows a running total and harvest count per hive. Full history is displayed newest-first on the hive detail screen. Weight is stored in pounds; switching to kilograms is lossless. A new lb/kg setting appears in Settings → Units.
Log a mite treatment as a dated event separate from inspections. Record the product, label duration (Apivar 42 days, Apiguard 28 days, Formic Pro 14 days, HopGuard 3 30 days, oxalic acid single-session — pre-filled automatically), expected end date, and days remaining. When you retest 3–4 weeks after treatment ends, record the post-treatment mite count and method; Hivecard tells you whether the count passed threshold and flags it on the hive detail screen if the retest is overdue. Export all inspections, all harvests, or all treatment events as a CSV file from the Report tab. Open in Apple Numbers, Microsoft Excel, or Google Sheets for multi-season analysis, sharing with mentors or your local beekeeping club, or long-term archiving. Columns include every field the app records — queen/eggs/brood/mite/colony-strength/mood/weather for inspections, weight and supers for harvests, product/dates/post-check results for treatments. RFC 4180 compliant; dates in ISO 8601 (yyyy-MM-dd); temperature in your preferred unit.
Record frames of bees, frames of honey (stores), and frames of pollen at each inspection. Hivecard converts frames of bees to an estimated population (Oregon State University Extension: one full standard Langstroth comb holds approximately 2,400 adult bees) and rates the colony as Weak, Moderate, Strong, or Very Strong. The latest frames-of-bees count appears on the hive detail card alongside the mite average. Half-frames count as 0.5.
