GoldenHorizon Support

Help, troubleshooting, and contact information for GoldenHorizon — version 1.2.

Getting Started

Open GoldenHorizon and grant location permission when prompted. The Today tab shows live solar and lunar data for your current position. Tap the Plans or Locations tabs to start building your shoot schedule.

Permissions

Location access is used to compute local sky data. Camera access is used only when the AR sky planner is opened. Notification access is optional — it is requested only if you toggle reminders on in a Shot Plan.

Need Help?

Email the App Store product page with your iPhone model, iOS version, and a short description of what happened.

Common Questions

Does the app require an account?
No. GoldenHorizon is entirely on-device. No sign-in, no subscription, no ads.

Where is my data stored?
Saved locations and shot plans are stored in SwiftData on your device. They can be backed up via iCloud device backup like any other app data, but GoldenHorizon itself does not sync or upload anything.

How do I save a location?
Tap the Locations tab and use the + button. Tap "Use Current GPS" to auto-fill your coordinates, or type them in manually. Add a name, optional notes, and tap Save.

How does the Shot Planner work?
In the Plans tab, tap + to create a new shot plan. Choose your target type, camera body (or enter a custom sensor width), focal length, and saved location. The app computes your horizontal and vertical field of view in real time. Set an optional notification reminder and tap Save. Use the share button to export all plans as a CSV file.

What camera presets are included?
36 presets covering Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Leica, Fujifilm, OM System, and Hasselblad bodies across full-frame, APS-C/H, Micro Four Thirds, one-inch, and medium-format sensor categories. A "Custom" entry in each category lets you enter any sensor width.

How do I export my shot plans?
In the Plans tab, tap the share/export button in the top-right corner. A CSV file is generated and the iOS share sheet appears, letting you save to Files, AirDrop, email, or any app that accepts CSV.

How do I remove the app?
Delete the app from your device. All SwiftData stored inside the app container is removed by iOS when the app is deleted.
