What It Does

Crispback has method-specific guidance for 70+ common foods. Air fryer for fries and wings, skillet for pasta and dumplings, low oven for steak and salmon, microwave for rice. Each entry includes the right temperature, scaled time for your portion size, a shake/flip reminder mid-cook, and a food safety note.

Per-Food Reheat Methods

Each food in the database has multiple methods ranked by suitability. Tap the best one, pick your portion, and start the built-in timer.

Air Fryer350–400°F

Best for anything crispy: fries, wings, pizza, egg rolls, hash browns.

Oven250–425°F

Low-and-slow for steak and salmon; high heat for roasted veg.

StovetopLow–Med

Saucy foods, pasta, risotto, dumplings, scrambled eggs.

Microwave50–100%

Rice, corn on the cob, soups. Damp towel cover reduces drying.

Toaster Oven300–425°F

Pizza, baked goods, bagels, waffles — all with less preheat time than a full oven.

Leftover Storage Tracker

The new Stored tab lets you log leftovers as you put them away, with a fridge or freezer tag. Crispback counts down to the USDA-based safe window (3–4 days fridge, 1–6 months freezer) and flags anything that needs to be used today — or discarded. The Pro Planner shows a live snapshot of what's in your fridge, plus a freezer duration guide by food category.

How It Works

  1. Pick your food from the Browse tab or search by name or alias
  2. Set your portion size (single to family)
  3. Tap the best method card — Crispback shows temperature, time, cover method, and tips
  4. Start the built-in timer; get a shake/flip alert mid-cook; rest timer after
  5. Log the leftover in the Stored tab to track freshness automatically
