Open the app, pick a starting preset on the Welcome page, then move through the wizard one step at a time: identity, focus, founder file, tools and bridges, daily questions, data sources, and API keys. Each page explains itself.
CLAW Agent Builder Support
Help, troubleshooting, and contact information for CLAW Agent Builder (version 3.1).
This edition shapes and exports agent files; it does not install OpenClaw for you. Open the new OpenClaw Field Guide section for the exact, copy-ready install and first-run commands to paste into your own Terminal.
After exporting to a folder you pick, follow the “Apply your exported pack” steps in the Field Guide to copy the files into your live workspace and merge the config patch by hand. Nothing is automatic, by design.
Common Questions
What’s new in 3.1?
An always-available offline OpenClaw Field Guide (install, run, apply, CLI cheatsheet, troubleshooting, channels, skills, providers, glossary); a pre-export Preflight Check that catches whole-build mistakes with one-click jumps to fix them; and two new bundled docs in every export, FIELD_GUIDE.md and BUILD_CHECKS.md.
The Preflight Check flagged something — do I have to fix it?
Items marked “Needs fixing” will make the pack confusing or broken in practice, so fix those before shipping into a live workspace. “Worth a look” and “Heads up” items are optional suggestions and never block an export.
Are my API keys safe?
Yes. Keys live in the app’s local storage and are only sent to the provider you chose when you tap “Test key.” The generated env file uses blank placeholders unless you deliberately opt in to including real values.
Does the app require an account?
No. CLAW Agent Builder is designed for local Mac use with no login.
Where is my data stored?
App data and saved drafts stay on your Mac unless you export or share them yourself.
How do I remove the app?
Quit the app, delete it from Applications, and remove any folders you exported.
