Capo Quick Reference (new in 1.2)
Picked a capo position? Tap “See all shapes” on any suggestion card to open a full grid of fingering diagrams — every chord you’ll play at that fret, side by side. Open shapes are highlighted in gold. Know before you clamp.
Smart Export with Auto-Capo (new in 1.2)
The Export sheet now detects the best capo fret for the current key and pre-selects it. The ChordPro {capo} directive is written automatically, so the file opens correctly in OnSong, GigBook, and other musician apps. Override or clear the fret with one tap on the fret-picker row.
Key Context Panel
Every transposed chart shows a collapsible theory panel. See the relative key (e.g. Am for C major), the parallel key, and all seven diatonic triads for the current key. Tap any diatonic chord to open its fingering diagram immediately.
Based on Aldwell & Schachter diatonic harmony conventions (natural minor set).
Voice Range Advisor
Singers can pick their voice type — Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Alto, Mezzo-soprano, or Soprano — and get the three best target keys ranked by how naturally the tonic sits in their comfortable range, weighted by how many open guitar chords land there.
Comfortable ranges from McKinney (1994) and Miller (1986) vocal pedagogy references.
ChordPro Export
Export any transposed chart as a standards-compliant ChordPro file with {title}, {key}, and {capo} directives. Or export as plain text with inline [Chord] notation for Messages, Notes, or email. Uses the system share sheet — nothing leaves your device without your action.
Capo Suggestions
The engine evaluates every capo fret from 0 to 11 (or 9 for ukulele) and ranks each by open-chord coverage, with a small penalty for high frets that buzz on most instruments. The top three positions are shown with chord chips and an Easy / OK / Tough ease rating. Tap any chip to see its diagram.
Guitar & Ukulele
Switch between guitar (EADGBE open chord set) and ukulele (GCEA) in Settings. The capo engine, open-chord ranking, fingering diagrams, and Quick Reference grid all adapt to the chosen instrument.
Saved History
Every chart you transpose can be saved with one tap. The History tab keeps up to 50 charts with the last key you used. Favorites are pinned at the top. Swipe to delete.
