Capoflip Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 13, 2026. This policy explains how Capoflip handles your data.
Data Handling
Capoflip is a fully on-device app. Chord charts you paste or save, your key history, instrument preference, and voice-type selection are stored locally using UserDefaults on your device. None of this information is transmitted to any server.
No Network Requests
Capoflip makes no network requests of any kind. All chord parsing, transposition, capo suggestion, key-theory computation, and ChordPro export happen entirely on your device. There is no backend, no API, and no telemetry.
Exports and Sharing
The ChordPro and plain-text export features use the iOS system share sheet. When you tap Share, iOS presents your standard sharing options (AirDrop, Messages, Mail, etc.). Capoflip does not control or observe what you share or where it goes — that is entirely your choice and iOS’s responsibility.
Tracking and Third Parties
Capoflip does not track users across apps or websites. It contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs. The app’s PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy declares UserDefaults access only.
Permissions
Capoflip does not request any system permissions (camera, microphone, location, contacts, etc.). The only system capability used is the standard clipboard read for the “Paste from clipboard” button, which is initiated by the user tapping that button.
Children
Capoflip does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. As a fully local app, no personal information is collected at all.
