Glowmere is for people who want their Mac desktop to look considered without trawling through wallpaper sites. It ships with 88 gradient and aurora wallpapers across 14 collections — Aurora Nights, Deep Ocean, Synthwave, Nebula, Noir Mono and more — and every one is generated rather than photographed, so it stays sharp at any display size.
The part that sets it apart is the Studio. You can build your own wallpaper from eight styles — Mesh, Aurora, Conic, Linear, Radial, Waves, Noise, and Duotone — edit the palette, and drag sliders for grain, vignette, softness, detail, and contrast until it looks right. Blends use the Oklab color space to stay smooth and band-free, and a Surprise me control gives you a starting point when you want one. Any look can be copied or shared as a compact recipe, so the exact wallpaper can be rebuilt on another Mac.
For everyday use, one click sets a wallpaper across every display you own. Auto Shuffle rotates the desktop on a schedule — from the whole library, a single collection, or your favorites — and a Forecast view shows the upcoming slots and which wallpapers are queued. You can export crisp PNGs at native size or up to 6K, and save your own creations as reusable presets.
It runs entirely offline. There is no account, no analytics, and no special permissions — nothing you create ever leaves your Mac.
