Why It Helps
TideHelm gives captains, anglers, kayakers, divers, and coastal photographers the tide timing, current direction, safety windows, and seamanship tools they need — all offline, all in one app.
A tide, current, solunar, marine-safety, fishing-log, route, anchor-scope, and coastal planning cockpit for captains, anglers, divers, and coastal photographers.
A new tab shows every High and Low event for the next 7 days in a compact, scannable table: time, height in feet, and height relative to mean sea level. Filter to any single day or view all 7 at once. A share button generates a plain-text tide table you can paste into Messages, email, or a group chat — ideal for sharing the day's tides with a fishing or dive crew.
The Today screen now shows a live countdown in the tidal events card — for example "2h 14m to slack water" — so you always know exactly how long until the window opens. When slack is under 30 minutes away, a "SOON" badge appears in the card.
Every stop in the Trip Planner now shows the great-circle distance from the previous stop in nautical miles, with a Route Summary card displaying each leg and total trip distance. Uses coordinates already stored on each stop, so it works fully offline with no GPS required.

TideHelm uses bundled harmonic data and astronomical calculations that run entirely on-device. There is no account, no network requirement, no ads, and no tracking. Thirty-one NOAA tide stations bundled from Eastport, ME to Friday Harbor, WA. All trip plans, fishing logs, and safety inputs are stored only on your device. The Tide Table can be shared as plain text — no cloud required.
