Common questions

Why does Pill Scape ask for notification permission?

Notification permission is used to schedule local medication reminders on your device.

Why does Pill Scape use photo access?

Photo access is used only when you choose a medication label photo. The app can use on-device text recognition to help fill editable fields.

What is Care Readiness?

Care Readiness checks whether your self-entered medication record includes practical handoff details such as names, strength or label text, schedules, refill counts, notes, label photos, and recent self-reported logs. It is a completeness checklist, not medical advice.

Where are the sources?

Open Settings > Safety & Sources in the app. The screen links to medication-list and PDC context used to frame the checklist and adherence information.

Does Pill Scape give medical advice?

No. Pill Scape is a reminder and organization tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, or medication dosage calculations.

Does Pill Scape upload my medication list?

No. Medication details, reminder preferences, label photos, care-readiness checks, and dose history are stored locally on your device.

How do I create a summary for my doctor or pharmacist?

Open Insights and tap the share button, or go to Settings > Share & Export. Choose a time range, then preview or share a medication summary, care checklist, PDF report, or CSV backup. Documents are generated on your device and are sent only where you choose.
