Common help
- Open Inventory, add a room, then add items inside that room.
- Open an item and choose Edit Item to update details, photos, or its receipt or invoice.
- Open Continuity to record shutoff steps, outage handoffs, service procedures, access notes, contacts, and review windows.
- Use Continuity > Record Index to search inventory, documents, systems, maintenance, and procedures together.
- Use Evidence Audit to review missing photos, ownership documents, identifiers, purchase records, and room assignments.
- Open More for warranties, documents, home systems, moving tools, settings, and Backup & Restore.
- Camera, photo selection, Face ID, and notification permissions are optional and requested only after the related action.
Backup and restore
Open Continuity, choose Backup, then Prepare Full Backup. My Homes Vault validates its JSON format, integrity digest, identifiers, and record relationships before showing a restore preview. Nothing is replaced until validation succeeds and the user confirms.
Portable backups are not password protected or encrypted by the app. Keep files containing household records and photos only in locations you trust.
If records cannot open
Restart My Homes Vault and retry. The app does not create a temporary replacement or delete the existing store after an open failure. If access is still unavailable, contact support before reinstalling or clearing data.
Useful report details
Include the device model, iOS version, app version/build, screen, and reproducible steps. Avoid emailing sensitive household records unless they are necessary and you are comfortable sharing them.
My Homes Vault is an organization tool. Evidence completion, continuity readiness, and planning estimates do not verify ownership, appraise property, inspect a home, interpret a policy, or determine coverage or claim payment.
