Morse code, signal flags, and the phonetic alphabet are the kind of skills you either practice or lose. SignalCrafter is an offline kit for learning and drilling classic, non-network signaling, with a high-contrast interface meant to be read outdoors.
The Morse side is a real broadcaster, not just a chart. You set words per minute, repeat count, pause interval, and total duration, then send the message as a screen flash, a tone, a haptic pulse, or any combination. Field protocol presets cover common messages — SOS, Mayday, medical help, food or water, position unknown — so you can practice sending something meaningful rather than random letters.
For flags, there is an A-to-Z hoist builder with optional substitute flags for repeated letters, a readback of what you have spelled, and warnings when a character gets skipped. The offline almanac collects the reference you would otherwise dig for: international Morse, the NATO phonetic alphabet with pronunciation, maritime signal flags and their single-flag meanings, ground-to-air rescue symbols, and the Beaufort wind scale. A Drill tab lets you practice Morse, flags, and phonetics against a running streak and your best streak.
Everything works in airplane mode. There is no account, no cloud, no ads, and no tracking — preferences stay on the device. One honest caveat: this is a learning and reference tool, not a certified emergency beacon, marine radio, or a substitute for proper equipment and official procedures.
