If you set up guitars, basses, or other stringed instruments — for a living, for a band, or for your own collection — the details are easy to lose. What action did you dial in last spring? Which string gauges are on the acoustic in the case? When was the last time the neck relief got checked? Luthier's Bench is a workbench notebook that keeps those answers in one place.

You build a profile for each instrument — brand, model, scale length, tuning, nut width, radius, photos — then record setup sessions against it over time. Each setup card tracks action, relief, string gauges and construction, intonation, and whatever notes you want to keep. Because the sessions stack up, you can see how an instrument drifts across seasons and playing.

The Setup Health status reads your latest session and tells you plainly whether an instrument is fresh, worth watching, due, or overdue, so you can decide which ones need bench time before a gig or a recording date. Alongside the records are the shop-math tools you reach for anyway: string tension analysis, a fret position ruler, a tuning and cents reference, and a capo helper. Setup cards are shareable when you need to hand one off.

It is built to work on your own bench and stay there. There is no account to create, no analytics or advertising code inside, and your instrument records are not uploaded to any server. You can export locally whenever you want a copy.

About Luthier's Bench

Luthier's Bench is a practical setup notebook for musicians, techs, and builders who want instrument records and workshop math in one place.

Create instrument profiles with brand, model, type, scale length, tuning, string count, nut width, radius, photos, setup sessions, and service history. Use setup cards to track action, relief, gauges, wound/plain construction, intonation, and notes over time.

Tools include:

- Setup Health status for each instrument
- Instrument profiles and service logs
- Shareable setup cards
- String tension analysis
- Fret position ruler
- Tuning and cents reference
- Capo helper
- Local export
- Unit preferences for setup and tension measurements

Setup Health summarizes whether an instrument is fresh, worth watching, due, or overdue based on its latest recorded setup. It gives a plain action cue so players and techs can prioritize bench checks before gigs, recording, seasonal movement, or heavier use.

Luthier's Bench is local-first. It does not require an account, does not include analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not upload instrument records to a developer-run server.
