Wallrap Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 27, 2026. This policy explains how Wallrap handles data.
Audio and Microphone
Wallrap uses the device microphone to listen for wall knocks and classify them acoustically. Audio is processed live on your device using the Accelerate DSP framework. No audio is recorded, buffered to disk, or transmitted anywhere. Microphone permission is requested only when you tap Start in Listen, Trace, or Calibrate mode — never in the background.
Data You Create
Your calibration profile, app settings, saved trace sessions, optional room notes, spacing estimates, and Mount Check reports are stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
CSV and Mount Check Sharing
When you choose to export a session as a CSV file or share a Mount Check report, Wallrap uses the iOS system share sheet at your explicit request. The file or text is never uploaded or transmitted automatically.
Tracking and Third Parties
Wallrap does not track users across apps or websites. No third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDKs are linked into the binary. The privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking false and an empty collected-data types array.
Network Access
Wallrap makes no network calls of any kind. Classification, calibration, history, CSV export, and Mount Check generation are entirely on-device.
Permissions
The only system permission Wallrap requests is Microphone (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription). No camera, location, contacts, photos, or notifications access is requested.
Children
Wallrap contains no content directed at children under 13. No personal information is knowingly collected from any user.
