Common Questions
How do I begin a room plan?
Open Projects, tap the plus button, enter the shortest finished wall-to-wall measurements, then add doors, windows, and exact furniture dimensions in the editor.
How do I select or move furniture?
Tap an item in the 2D plan to open its inspector. Drag it for quick placement or use the exact-position, size, and rotation controls for a measured result.
What does a Move Check result mean?
Roomspan tests practical dimension orientations against the clear width, height, landing, and safety margin entered. A result is a planning estimate, not a guarantee of safe passage.
Why should I re-measure a close fit?
Nominal door sizes often exclude trim, hinges, handles, rails, ceiling changes, and other real constraints. Measure the narrowest clear point along the complete route.
Does the app need an account or internet?
No. Roomspan works offline and has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, or developer-operated backend.
Where are projects stored?
Room projects and move measurements are stored locally in the app on the device. PDF reports are created locally and shared only through the destination selected in Apple's share sheet.
How do I delete my information?
Delete individual projects from the Projects context menu. Removing the app deletes its local app data, subject to normal iOS backup behavior controlled by you and Apple.
