Rentwitness Privacy Policy
Effective July 14, 2026. This policy explains how Rentwitness handles information.
Summary
Rentwitness does not collect data, track users, show ads, require an account, or use a developer-operated backend. The developer does not sell or share personal information from the app.
Information Stored on Your Device
Property details, room records, condition ratings, notes, photos, observed dates, app-added timestamps, communications, keys, meter readings, and settings are stored locally in the app on your device. They are not transmitted to the developer.
Camera and Photo Selection
Camera access is requested only when you choose to take a photograph. The system photo picker may be used when you choose an existing image. Selected or captured images are copied into the app's local storage and are not uploaded by Rentwitness.
Sharing and Exports
Evidence packets are created on your device and passed to Apple's system share sheet only when you choose to share. You select the destination.
Network and Third Parties
Version 1.0 makes no developer network requests and includes no advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDK.
Retention and Deletion
Records remain until you delete them or remove the app, subject to iOS backup behavior controlled by you and Apple.
Children's Privacy
No personal information is knowingly collected from children or any other user because no information is transmitted to the developer.
Changes
If a future version changes these practices, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before release.
