MemoVellum: Oral History
Capture an interview with the consent, corrections, metadata, and preservation evidence it deserves.
Built for the work
Small projects routinely produce recordings without clear rights, stable names, checksums, corrected transcripts, or a reproducible deposit package.
- Consent and rights workflow with customizable terms, signatures, witnesses, and restriction dates.
- Resilient field recording with interruption journal, storage checks, markers, and external microphone notes.
- Authority records for people, organizations, places, and preferred names.
- Versioned transcript correction with original, machine suggestion, and approved text kept distinct.
- Preservation-copy generation, SHA-256 fixity, metadata mapping, and deposit-readiness checks.
- Portable archival package plus access-copy export.
Local by design
Microphone access is requested only after the user starts a field recording. Audio, participant notes, transcripts, and exports stay on device; version 1.0 does not request speech-recognition or location access.
No account, advertising, subscription, or developer analytics SDK is included.
Product boundary
MemoVellum supports documentation and preservation workflows. Consent language and archive requirements must be reviewed for the project and jurisdiction.
