Tap any past or present day on the Calendar tab, or tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner to open today. Type up to 280 characters, optionally add a mood emoji or a photo, and tap Save. Tapping Save on the same date replaces whatever was there previously.
Linejot Support
Help and contact information for Linejot — the one-line-a-day journal for iPhone and iPad.
When you open a blank day, a suggested question appears above the text field. It is there to help you get started — you are not required to answer it. The prompt changes each calendar day and is the same every time you open that day, so coming back later shows the same cue.
Open Settings and toggle "Remind me to write." Pick the time you want to be nudged. The app will ask for notification permission the first time you enable this. If you declined permission, you can re-enable it by going to the iOS Settings app → Notifications → Linejot. Turn the reminder off at any time by toggling it off in Linejot's Settings tab.
After you have entries from a prior year on the same calendar date, a memory card appears at the bottom of the Calendar tab showing what you wrote one or more years ago. No setup required — it appears automatically once the data is there. If you are new to Linejot or haven't reached your first journal anniversary, the card is not shown.
The Insights tab shows your current writing streak, longest streak, total entries, total words, most-active month, and most-used mood emoji. All statistics are calculated from your entries on-device. The streak counts consecutive calendar days with an entry; writing today extends it, skipping a day resets it.
Open the Recap tab and type in the search field at the top. Matching entries appear instantly, sorted newest first. Clearing the search field returns you to the normal month view.
Open the Insights tab and scroll to the Export section. Tap "CSV" to share a spreadsheet-compatible file; tap "Text" for a simple plain-text file; tap "PDF" to generate a typeset journal you can print or save to Files. All three are shared through the iOS share sheet and are always free.
Email the App Store product page with your device model, iOS version, and a short description of what happened. Include the app version shown in Settings if possible.
