Linejot Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 15, 2026. This policy explains how Linejot handles your data.
Data Handling
Linejot is an on-device utility. Journal entries, photos, and settings you create are stored locally in a JSON file on your device. Nothing is transmitted to a server, cloud service, or third party.
Information You Create
The app stores the text, optional emoji, optional photo, and timestamp for each entry you write. That information stays on your device under your control. Exporting entries (CSV, plain text, or PDF) is a voluntary action you initiate through the standard iOS share sheet; the app does not export data automatically.
Notifications
If you enable the daily reminder in Settings, Linejot schedules a single recurring local notification on your device. This notification is created and delivered entirely on-device using iOS's built-in notification system — no server receives any data related to it. No notification content from this app is transmitted off the device.
Tracking and Third Parties
Linejot does not track users across apps or websites. It does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or crash-reporting services.
Permissions
Photo library access is requested only if you tap the photo field when writing an entry. It is used solely to let you attach one photo to that entry. Notification permission is requested only if you enable the daily reminder in Settings. No other permissions are required.
