Inkfalls Support

Inkfalls is a word puzzle about falling letters, word clears, and etymology multipliers.

Controls

Gesture controls (version 1.4+): Swipe left or right on the board to move a letter one column at a time. Swipe down gently to soft-drop. Flick down fast to hard-drop instantly. Swipe up or tap the board to rotate a two-letter pair. The on-screen button row at the bottom of the screen remains active at all times as a fallback.

Gesture controls can be turned on or off in Settings → Gameplay → Swipe & tap gesture controls.

Vocabulary Journal Export

Open the Vocabulary Journal from the main menu and tap the share icon in the top-right corner. Choose from three formats: words only, words with their language of origin, or a CSV file you can open in a spreadsheet or flashcard app. Export is entirely on-device.

Score Trend Chart

The Stats screen shows a sparkline chart of your last 20 sessions in chronological order. The chart appears after you have completed at least two sessions.

FAQ

How does scoring work? Each word scores length² × origin multiplier + rare-letter bonuses. Origins range from Old English (1×) to Indigenous loans (5×). Chain clears multiply the total by up to 3×.

What is the Hold piece? Tap the Hold button (or swipe up in gesture mode) to swap your current falling letter into a reserve slot and recall it later. One hold per drop cycle.

Can I play offline? Yes. Inkfalls is fully offline. Word validation uses the iOS system dictionary. No account or internet connection is ever required.

Does Inkfalls track me? No. Inkfalls stores all data locally on your device and sends nothing to any server.
