Do I need an account?
No. The app works without sign-in or account creation.
Does the app need the web?
No. Core note capture, organization, search, and export features work locally on your device.
Why does the app ask for camera access?
Camera access is only used when you choose Scan PDF so you can capture paper into searchable files.
