Cordwise Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 13, 2026. This policy explains how Cordwise handles your data.
Data Handling
Cordwise is designed as a fully on-device utility. All delivery records, wood inventory piles, chimney maintenance entries, species preferences, stove settings, and all other user data are stored locally on your device using the system's UserDefaults storage. No data is sent to any server, ever.
CSV Export
The Delivery Log includes an optional CSV export. When you tap the share button, the app writes a temporary CSV file on your device and opens the standard iOS share sheet. Where the file goes after that is your choice — Cordwise itself does not upload or transmit the file.
Tracking and Third Parties
Cordwise does not track users across apps or websites and does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The bundled PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy file declares no tracking and no collected data types beyond UserDefaults (required reason CA92.1).
Network Access
Cordwise makes no network connections of any kind. All species data, guides, glossary, and calculations are bundled in the app. All user records (deliveries, piles, chimney log) are on-device only.
Permissions
Cordwise requests no system permissions — no camera, no location, no contacts, no microphone, no notifications. The app needs only the storage that iOS automatically grants to every app for its own UserDefaults.
