Bonsai Privacy Policy
Bonsai is designed as a local-first phone-down habit companion. The developer does not collect, sell, rent, or track personal data.
Data Collection
Bonsai does not require an account and does not send personal data to a developer server. The developer does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, rest history, Rest Coach scores, tree data, device usage history, contact information, or diagnostics from the app.
Rest Time And Trees
Tree state, grove entries, milestones, settings, rest sessions, Rest Coach calculations, and rest-hour history are stored locally on your device. Bonsai does not use Apple's Screen Time API and does not read a list of apps or websites you use.
Rest Coach
Rest Coach uses local rest-history entries to calculate a score, trend, and suggested next-session length. These calculations happen on device and are not sent to the developer.
Photos
Bonsai may ask permission to save a generated tree image to Photos when you choose to export. The app does not upload that image to a developer service.
Tracking And Advertising
Bonsai does not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.
Children
Bonsai is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
