Bird Hunter App privacy policy
Bird Hunter is designed as a local-first birding companion. The app does not require an account, does not include advertising SDKs, and does not use analytics or cross-app tracking.
- No developer account creation
- No advertising SDK
- No analytics SDK
- No sale of personal data
- No tracking across apps or websites
Sightings, notes, confidence ratings, location labels, thumbnails, and attached bird photos are stored locally on your device.
If you allow location access, Bird Hunter uses it only to help label a sighting. You can also enter your own location label without granting current-location permission.
If you allow Camera or Photos access, the app uses that access only when you choose to attach a bird photo to a sighting.
Optional iCloud sync, when enabled, uses the user's private Apple iCloud account. Bird Hunter does not upload photos, notes, or sightings to a developer-run server.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
